Vivian Li

Senior Economist

Vivian Li is a Senior Economist at the Brookfield Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (BII+E). Her areas of focus include examining labour markets within Canada’s innovation economy and technology sector, and understanding the competitiveness of the Canadian landscape in a wider context.

Before joining BII+E, Vivian developed experience in a variety of roles. She worked as a data analyst and advisor for the federal and provincial governments, and as a specialist at the Economic Blueprint Institute. Most recently, Vivian worked in economics and policy consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers evaluating topics surrounding the Canadian economy.  She is interested in analyzing the socioeconomic implications of policies, and the relation between economic factors and people.

Vivian has completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Waterloo, and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Toronto. In her free time, Vivian enjoys exploring the outdoors, discovering new music, watching basketball, and spending time with her cat.
