Laura Saarelainen

As BII+E’s Operations Manager, Laura provides insightful and strategic advice on the organization’s day-to-day operations, human resource management and financial reporting. With her warm, open and down-to-earth approach, she is an often sought-after resource for the BII+E team and acts as a sparring partner on our many projects and initiatives.

A trained law clerk, Laura’s adventurous nature took her to Paris, where she began her career as a Key Client Coordinator at one of France’s largest law firms. She then joined KPMG France, supporting their leadership team in managing the company’s many high-profile accounts. Most recently, Laura supported the KPMG leadership team here in Canada, both as an Executive Assistant and Program Coordinator for the national practice.

As an avid traveler, Laura is a natural linguist, fluent in English, French, Romanian and is working to add Finnish to her roster. Her passion for organization, efficiency and relationship building is what led her to BII+E. She ensures that the Institute lives and breathes its mission to support and partner with local entrepreneurs and innovators through its vendor relationships.
