With a background in urban policy, Emma is interested in how public policy influences innovation and growth at the local level. As a Research Assistant, Emma works with the policy team at Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship (BII+E).
Prior to joining BII+E, Emma worked with the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change on sustainable city building initiatives, including the updated provincial growth plans. She has also worked with several non-profits across the city as a policy consultant to establish government relations strategies.
Passionate about civic involvement in government, Emma volunteers with DemocracyKit and is an advisory board member with Model Alliance in New York.
Emma holds a Master of Public Policy and a Honours Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto.
