Asher Zafar

Project Lead, Data Science

Asher is a researcher and consultant with expertise in economics and data science. His passion for civic innovation led him to a career spanning technology, strategy consulting, government, and now, BII+E, where he focuses on data science projects.

Prior to BII+E, he built a quantitative policy analysis team at the Ontario Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development with a focus on bringing new data science tools to public policy, and was a public sector strategy consultant with Deloitte. His public sector experience spans economic development, regulatory modernization, digital transformation, healthcare, and education.

Asher holds degrees in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin (B.A.) and York University (M.A.). He really enjoys coffee, and would be happy to chat with you over a cup.
