Co-Founder and Former CEO, SoJo
A problem solver by nature, AJ operates best at the intersection between entrepreneurship and public policy. She was most recently the co-founder and CEO of SoJo, a social enterprise that delivers entrepreneurship training and skills development to youth, by partnering with post-secondary institutions and international development agencies.
Prior to SoJo, AJ worked with the Government of Ontario as a Senior Policy Advisor, addressing a range of issues including post-secondary education, labour market development, economic development through innovation, and community and social services. Her career has centered around developing novel approaches to labour market development through education. At BII+E she will be guiding the development of Palette, an industry-led rapid retraining firm that will support the growth of promising scale-up companies while providing a solution for career transition to workers impacted by automation.
AJ has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Waterloo.
