David Rubinger

Data Scientist, Polar

David is a data scientist at Toronto-based tech company Polar, where he leads and executes the organization’s data analysis and statistical learning projects. He was previously an economist at the Department of Finance Canada, providing economic and financial analysis that underpinned Canada’s participation at the International Monetary Fund and G20.

David believes the ongoing rapid advancements in technology will present some of the greatest socioeconomic and political challenges of our time. He is primarily interested in how the public, private, and nonprofit sectors can fight the economic insecurity and inequality caused by technological disruption.

He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Toronto and a bachelor’s degree in biology from McGill University.
