Empowering Women in Entrepreneurship + Social Enterprise

This summary distills key insights from our Empowering Women in Entrepreneurship + Social Enterprise Design Workshop, which we hosted to inform the design of a Call for Proposals to be announced in the coming weeks.

The benefits of having more women-led high-growth companies in Canada and in Ontario are substantial, and yet so are the hurdles women must jump over for their businesses to scale. Our Policy Innovation Platform team’s engagement session, which took place on September 28, 2017, sought to better understand the experiences and challenges of women entrepreneurs, and the supports Ontario could implement to mitigate these barriers. Resources used during the engagement session can be found under the framework button.
