It is with great enthusiasm that I am able to announce the newest addition to the Brookfield Institute’s leadership team, Sarah Doyle.
Sarah will be the Institute’s first Director of Policy + Research, where she will lead the development of the Institute’s research agenda and oversee the work of the Institute’s policy team.
Sarah joins us from the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing, where she led policy and research initiatives and worked with community, government and private sector stakeholders to develop and advance policy that supports the growth of the Canadian impact investing market. In this role, Sarah served as the lead author on the final report of Canada’s National Advisory Board to the G8 Social Impact Investment Taskforce.
Prior to joining MaRS, Sarah was a policy analyst on the Priorities and Planning team of the Privy Council Office, where she developed advice for the Prime Minister on a wide range of policy issues. Sarah is an alumni of the federal government’s elite Recruitment of Policy Leaders program.
Sarah is a member of the Board and Program Committee of St. Stephen’s Community House and was awarded an Action Canada Fellowship for the 2015-16 year.
She holds a Master of Science in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she was a Commonwealth Scholar, and is a graduate of the McMaster University Arts and Science program.
Sarah’s appointment will be effective on October 11th, 2016.
Please join me in providing a warm welcome to Sarah as she joins the Brookfield Institute team!
